FAQs

  • VA Fees claim fees

    Do you charge any fees?

Yes. The initial flat consulting fee is $185.00. If you receive a retroactive payment from the VA, my fee will be 7.5% of that amount.

  • VA claim consultation advice

What is included in the consultation?

A comprehensive and meticulous examination of evidence and medical records, an analysis of previous VA decisions, and a complete strategy for future claims.

  • VA Doctor medical records

Do I need to request my medical records?

Yes. To aid the VA in adjudicating your claim, it is beneficial for all parties involved to provide the VA with all civilian medical records.

Furthermore, for the VSC to offer maximum assistance, it is necessary for us to have access to all documentation (civilian and military/VA records) related to the claimed issues.

  • VSO

What makes VSC different from other veteran organizations?

At VSC, our fees are not only more affordable than most, but we also prioritize making each client feel valued. We utilize all resources to their fullest extent to ensure that the initial claim submitted has the highest chance of approval.

At VSC, we also understand the frustration and confusion that can arise when applying for VA benefits. Therefore, we are committed to simplifying this process for you by being completely transparent every step of the way.

Finally, we help our clients prepare for their upcoming Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams. Unlike other VA claims agents, this additional step lets us keep our clients at ease during the most challenging part of the VA claims process. C&P exams can be stressful for veterans. Many veterans share stories of inadequate examiners and rushed exams within veteran communities. Unfortunately, most of these stories are true. However, with proper preparation and knowing what to ask or say, the experience can be much smoother. That's why, at VSC, we guide each client on the dos and don'ts of C&P exams.

  • Medical Records documents claims

What documents do I need to ensure the best chance of having my claim approved?

What many VSOs and attorneys don’t tell you is to achieve service connection, there needs to be evidence of three elements: 1) an in-service event, injury, or exposure, 2) a clinical diagnosis, and 3) a nexus or connection between the incident and your clinical diagnosis.

With this in consideration, to maximize your chances of being granted service-connection, you will need your Service Treatment Records (STRs), medical records from the year of discharge to the present, and any evidence that demonstrates the extent to which your condition has progressed to the VA (personal statements, buddy statements, doctor letters, etc.).

  • VA Appeals

    Does VSC assist with appeals?

Yes and no. We provide assistance with Higher Level Reviews and Supplemental Claims, as these are adjudicated at the Regional Office level, similar to original claims.

However, we do not assist with appeals presented before the Board of Veterans' Affairs (BVA). Although we possess extensive knowledge of veterans' law, we are not attorneys and therefore cannot represent clients before the BVA.
